HOW IT STARTED: CombatVets.net, org, com was registered in October 1999. This Veteran Service Organization was a subsidiary of Internet Commercial Advantage Inc. (INTCA). INTCA's assets were acquired by LovedOnes Inc. and assumed control of IT support for the CombatVets Network. Any shortfall in funding has been handled by Editors and LovedOnes Inc. Current News for 2025 is that all CombatVets web domains are being purchased / merged into TJT Publishing LLC, and will continue to improve the Web Experience.
In 1998, Tom Twitty, a Vietnam Veteran, was appointed Managing Production Editor of the American Ex-Prisoners of War " EX-POW Bulletin”, which was established in 1942. His work was responsible for upgrading this ragged publication to a nationally recognized magazine format, complete with full-color pages on coated stock. This exposure to Veteran publishing defined the need for a self-editing Bio / Memorial website where these Veteran stories could be published and preserved for future generations. The www.CombatVets.net website offers membership to Combat Veterans and Families without fanfare, dues, meetings, and parades. Twitty served with the U.S. Army 231st Reserve unit based in St. Petersburg, FL. This unit was activated and saw action throughout the Mekong Delta of Vietnam in 1968-69, specifically during the year of the Tet Offensive. Tom Twitty has published a book, titled Mekong Delta Yacht Club, as of July 2025, which is available on Amazon Books in a 6x9 paperback format in full color. Finally, the whole story of the illegal activation for a secret mission to an unknown destination with only 30 days' notice. The book details all the trials and tribulations, pointing a finger at the guilty parties and giving kudos to the ingenuity of these men in bringing all members home alive from this Undeclared War.
